Lots to Say

Ethan and Owen are chatty little guys.  They have so much to tell us and have to battle with one another for the attention to share their thoughts.  Needless to say Owen tries to hog the spotlight as much as possible but he has always used his more aggressive style and solid body to get his way.  Ethan has found ways to get his voice heard though - ask to be held, read books, ask someone to read books, or share everything he has been wanting to share in the first 10 minutes of waking up in the morning.

Charlie and I are loving their words and how they express them.  Everyday there seems to be a new surprise at what they verbalize (usually because we didn't think they understood something, remembered something obscure, or they are making up stories about robots).  Here are some of the highlight phrases...

"You da man, daddy!"
"Oh yeah" (said with a very Minnesotan accent)
"You stinky, take a shower."
"My do it."
"NO!"
"Pound it."
"Shake your booty."
"My toot."
"My toot on my mother."
"Robots bad guys."
"Robots tickled me and then tried to step on me.  My step on monkey pail over robots."

And the best one:
"My happy with you."

The boys telling me stories as they help me set up my classroom...
