Today was a day of goodbyes. We said our goodbyes to Miss Char and the goofy boys under her watch. We then said goodbye to our first house (well it is still for sale so anyone that wants to make the goodbye official - PLEASE put in an OFFER SOON).
It was much more emotional and difficult for me than it was for E and O. The hardest part was saying goodbye to Char. She has been an amazing daycare provider for our family. We are very fortunate to have had her as such a big part of our lives!! The thing that made me smile was the thought that St. Peter, and our new home, can be a pit stop for her when she travels to visit her mother.
This afternoon E and O said goodbye to the only house they have known. It was sad for me as memories of those two goofballs scooting around the house ran through my head. I will always have those memories and pictures! E and O seemed completely okay with the idea of moving to St. Peter, living in a new house, and hanging out with Miss Gayle now. I guess we will see how it goes when reality meets their current ideas.
E and O are pretty spectacular little boys who have ran with the craziness of this summer so we are expecting and hoping for a smooth transition. Plus, it may be time to move from Richfield. Both E and O are starting to say, "Momma, I gotta AX you a question." Since when has "ask" been changed to "ax?"

It's really bittersweet, isn't it, Aunchie? So may exciting firsts and special memories in Richfield that it's tough to leave it behind even with the promise of wonderful new things in St. Peter. We love you guys and can't wait to help you get settled into your new home!
Great pictures! Hard to believe Thing 1 and Thing 2 are so big.
Just perfect that the pictures you have are of your two little boys reading books outside their home. Couldn't be sweeter or better. Hard to say good-bye, I know...
