If you haven't heard already, Megan Vogel has been drafted by the Washington Mystics. Yes, the Megan Vogel from little St. Peter, MN.It has been really fun reading the articles in the Mankato Free Press and Star Tribune as well as posts on the WNBA website.
Megan had an awesome collegiate career at South Dakota State University. Charlie and I got to see one of the most exciting SDSU games against the Minnesota Gophers this year. The Jackrabbits beat the Gophers in the final seconds of the game (at least that was how the offficials called it at the end of the game).
I am excited to follow Megan's new journey in the WNBA. I hope the new season workouts go well and she enjoys the experience. Her stories of the pre-draft camp leads me to believe she has enjoyed every step of the way so far. She is definitely inspiring young girls in small towns of Minnesota.

Oh, by the way, Bri Monahan was not drafted but perhaps she will try out. Man, Gustavus is getting a lot of basketball press with two All-Americans and a WNBA phone call by the LA Sparks.
